The purpose of the Deacons is to provide inclusive, low-key caring support to every member of the congregation. It is done by concentrating our ministry to the following activities: Project SOS (Serving Others Sustenance), providing funeral luncheons, Prayer Shawl Ministry, preparing the communion elements, and visiting and supporting the members of the community.
The goal of the Board of Deacons is to keep a friendly ‘eye out’ for the members of this congregation, maintain regular contact with them, pray for them, and alert the pastor and session as needs emerge.
