Fort Calhoun Presbyterian Church is governed according to the Constitution of the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.) and through the shared leadership of our congregation.
Session (Elders)
The Session is the governing body of the church and provides spiritual leadership, vision, and oversight for the life and ministry of the congregation. Elders are elected by the congregation and serve three-year terms.
The Session works through ministry teams that support the ongoing work of the church, including:
- Worship & Music
- Christian Education (children, youth, and adults)
- Congregational Life & Fellowship
- Mission & Community Outreach
- Administration & Finance
- Property & Facilities
These teams are led by elders and include active members of the congregation, reflecting our strong tradition of shared ministry and broad lay participation.
Board of Deacons
The Board of Deacons provides care, encouragement, and practical support for members of the congregation and the community. Deacons work closely with the Session to support the church’s pastoral and service ministries.
Presbytery Connection
Fort Calhoun Presbyterian Church is a member of the Presbytery of Missouri River Valley, which provides guidance, support, and accountability for the congregation and its pastoral leadership.
Shared Ministry in Transition
